History

Japanese animatronics firm Kokoro and Hiroshi Ishiguro, a researcher at ATR and a professor at Osaka University, unveiled the original Geminoid HI-1 in 2006. In 2010, Kokoro, Ishiguro, and ATR introduced the Geminoid F, based on a female model and designed to study human-robot interaction.
